The largest car Hyundai has ever made – the Ioniq 9 – is a giant electric SUV heading to Australia next year, but is it any good?

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 features a huge 110kWh battery offering up to 385 miles of range. The three different power options are Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive, Long Range All-Wheel Drive and Performance All-Wheel Drive, the latter with its high-powered motors on the front and rear axles getting from 0-62mph in just 5.2 seconds.

Based on the three-row Seven concept that debuted in 2021, Ioniq 9 is the biggest vehicle the Korean automaker makes, along with the three-row Palisade. It will also likely be the most expensive, continuing the run of pricey EVs aimed at premium buyers willing to pay $10,000-$20,000 north of petrol-powered peers.

Hyundai offers the Ioniq 9 in an impressive 16 different exterior colors, including new options like Celadon Gray Matte, Ionosphere Green Pearl, and Cosmic Blue Pearl. The interior trim features Obsidian Black and six unique two-tone options, complementing the vehicle’s futuristic and elegant appeal.

The Ioniq 9 arrives as Hyundai's electric SUV range-topper for the 2026 model year. The SUV offers both single- and dual-motor layouts and up to 350 miles of range per charge.
