Thousands of demonstrators in the Georgian capital converged on parliament again on Tuesday. They are venting outrage against the governing party’s decision to suspend negotiations on joining the European Union.

Police clashed with protesters in the Georgian capital Tbilisi early on Friday, after the country’s ruling party said the government would suspend talks on European Union accession and refuse budgetary grants until 2028.

Georgia's rights ombudsman accused police of torturing protesters on Tuesday as demonstrations against the parliaments' postponement of Georgia's EU accession goals to 2028 entered its sixth consecutive night.
