A fourth-quarter fumble was the turning point for No. 7 Georgia in a 44-42 battle with rival Georgia Tech that spanned eight overtimes (the second-most in college football history) and was a 17-0 game in favor of the Yellow Jackets at halftime.

The Bulldogs used eight overtimes, an SEC record and a late fourth-quarter rally to put away Georgia Tech 44-42. The Yellow Jackets controlled the game for the first 55 minutes. A Haynes King rushing touchdown with 5:37 remaining put Georgia Tech up 27-13.

And then, the Bulldogs came up big in a crucial spot, forcing a fumble on a Haynes King run up the middle, recovering it and giving themselves a chance to tie the game with about two minutes left. The only problem? A clear and obvious targeting call that went unflagged on the Georgia defender that should have wiped out the turnover.
