FIRST ALERT: The weather pattern is also looking a bit more active next week. As widely scattered showers are expected Tuesday through next Friday. The increase in wet weather is all due to several fronts moving towards, across and stalling over parts of the south.

It’ll be a cold but quiet start to the weekend, with a partly cloudy sky Friday night leading to temperatures in the mid teens Saturday morning. The wind will also continue to ease through the overnight.

Saturday is a First Alert Weather Day as a winter storm will produce accumulating snow across all of North Central Wisconsin and cause treacherous travel conditions. The flakes will start to fly after midnight early Saturday morning,

A few areas of patchy drizzle or light rain may develop after midnight, but amounts will be minimal. Saturday’s highs will be highly dependent on how quickly the warm front lifts north, meaning some areas will struggle to climb out of the 40s,

While temperatures remain warm, we bring in a better chance for showers later this weekend. Clouds will increase on Saturday, turning us mainly cloudy by the afternoon. Despite the clouds, rain chances remain slim outside of an isolated shower.

The First Alert Weather Team is tracking record or near-record warm temperatures through the upcoming weekend, Thursday through Sunday. Temperatures will top out in the 80s each day. Winds blowing offshore towards the ocean will allow those warm temperatures to make it all the way out to the beaches.
