Witnesses have spotted a cluster of what appear to be drones — larger than those typically used by hobbyists — as well as a possible fixed-wing aircraft flying in several areas along the Raritan River in New Jersey since Nov.

Morris County residents have been reporting sightings of multiple large drones flying in the skies, and the FBI is looking into the sightings.

The FBI is investigating the sightings along the Raritan River and is calling on the public for help in gathering information, according to the agency’s Dec. 3 news release shared to X, formerly known as Twitter, by Pix11 reporter Katie Corrado. The roughly 75-mile-long Raritan River is located in central and northern New Jersey.

The FBI, New Jersey State Police, and the Office of Homeland Security are investigating reports of mysterious drone sightings along the Raritan River and nearby areas. FOX 5's Sharon Crowley has the story.
