Over the past few decades, ESPN analyst Lee Corso has emerged as perhaps the most iconic college football personality around the sport. But at 89 years old, his future with the network is a little unclear,

Lee Corso has been a mainstay of ESPN's college football coverage for decades, appearing on College GameDay, discussing the biggest games of the week. But will the 89-year-old college football analyst be a part of the show in 2025?

"Lee Corso is an icon on College GameDay but it is time for him to retire. I think it would be wonderful to have the first show of next season, the light on content Week 0 show, be a celebration of and farewell for him. It gives the fan base a chance to properly say thank you," one fan replied.

Corso is making his 424th headgear pick on Saturday and he will have to choose between the Hoosiers, whom he coached from 1973 to 1982, or the Buckeyes, his first-ever headgear selection and a team he has picked more than any other in College Gameday history.

This Saturday, Lee Corso chose his heart over his head.

Corso served as the head coach of Indiana from 1973-1982. He earned a 41-68-2 record in his 10 years with the Hoosiers. The Cicero, Illinois native led Indiana to a 38-37 win over a previously undefeated BYU Cougars program in the 1979 Holiday Bowl.
