Edwards hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with about two minutes remaining and grabbed an offensive rebound on an offensive possession that ended up fruitless, but it was able to run out the clock on a 93-92 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers Friday night in an NBA Cup group-play game at Target Center in Minneapolis.

Minnesota finishes 2-2 in NBA Cup West Group A play, a game and a half behind the 3-0 Houston Rockets. The Clippers are now 1-2 in group play with one game remaining. Both teams are long shots to reach the quarterfinals of the in-season tournament.

Anthony Edwards made a go-ahead 3-pointer with 2:24 remaining to lift the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 93-92 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night in Minneapolis in West Group A action of the NBA Cup.
