For Chase Strangio, the professional path that’s led to this moment – in which he’ll have 15 minutes to present an argument defending gender-affirming care for trans youth before the Supreme Court – cannot be unwoven from his life outside the courtroom.

At least 26 states have adopted laws restricting or banning such care for minors, and most of those states face lawsuits.

Next week, our guest Chase Strangio will make history as the first openly transgender lawyer to argue before the Supreme Court.
