The top pick of the 2023 draft has been more comfortable running as well, and he used it to his advantage for 10-yard touchdown scramble on third-and-6 midway through the second quarter of Sunday's NFC South game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers edged Young and the Carolina Panthers, 26-23, the two quarterbacks met at midfield and showed their appreciation for each other. Mayfield was heard telling Young, " I'm so proud of you, dude ," as they hugged each other and continued to exchange pleasantries.
