Although the beach was amazing and soft, it was when you enter the water do you feel all the dead coral. The water was amazing and refreshing. Not what I expected from Grand Cayman. I expected soft w… Full review by David L

This is clearly the highlight of our trip to GC. As you will have read, the Seven Mile Beach is actually 5.5 miles long (consistent with many other over statements on GC), and the Governor’s Residenc… Full review by William H

Best Beach on the Island. What else is there to say. The water is beautiful, the sand is soft, a great place to watch the sunset and hang out during the day. Full review by malexkintner

Hello. We will be stopping at Grand Cayman on a cruise in 2 weeks. Can you please advise the location on 7 mile beach that you were referring to. Is it open to the public or private? We have visited 7 mile beach on past cruises and loved it, but now most of the resorts which used to allow day passes to use use their private beaches and facilities no longer allow it, so we're stuck. We would really like to find a public beach area which has chairs and umbrella available. Any idea?. Much appreciated if you can provide any suggestions. Thank you,

Hi. When you exit the port, there will be taxis waiting to take you to the beach. 7 mile beach is really the only beach the taxis will go to. The taxis are very efficient and well run. I believe it was six dollars one way and they give you a return voucher For you to present when you’re ready to come back to the ship. The taxis will take you to a very nice section of 7 mile beach near Kimpton hotel. As soon as you exit the taxi, there will be someone who will walk you over to the beach and offer two chairs and an umbrella for you to rent for the day. Normally the rental is $25 for two chairs and an umbrella but because there were so many of us we got a discount for $20. The young man was very efficient and kind. The taxi driver also was wonderful. The beach was clean. Our umbrella and chairs were set up immediately. There was a food truck nearby as well as some local vendors for food. There was also some stalls available for shopping. If you want , any more structured lunch you can go to the hotel and have lunch there in their restaurant. Hope this is helpful. Have a great cruise.

Do they have lockers to rent for our valuables so we can go in the water to swim? Are the lockers safe at 7 mile Beach for our phones and wallets?
A:
I am not aware of any and we did not use any lockers but we felt totally safe to leave our belongings on the beach. A lot of people do that just fine.
