Looking for anyone that knows Pioneer Boats and any advice. I have looked at the 197 Islander which is a new boat for an all around boater. I know nothing about the company nor their boats. nicko2211 05-25-2013 07:28 AM 197 pioneer sportfish - 18 degree vs 19 degree deadrise proline..ride quality . So im currently in the process of purchasing a new boat, the 197 pioneer sportfish, instead of borrowing my dads 99' 241 WA proline boat.

They put their effort in the areas of hull construction, fit and finish, and component quality, which is a trade-off I was willing to accept.
