My Jeep is currently attempting to pass inspection again, it keeps pullings code P0457 (loose fuel cap) We've replaced 3 fuel caps in the past two years and last year put in a new fuel neck. We are at a loss at this point and figured I would see if anyone on the forum has run into a similar...
I have been getting these codes off and on for months. Now they wont go away and my remote start wont work because of the CEL. I have replaced the gas cap twice and checked the lines by the evap purge valve under the hood and both look fine. Can't see anything under the rear of the vehicle...

My code reader said P0456 and a code P0457. Ive changed the gas cap and the EVAP canister as well, cleared the code by unhooking the battery, which turned the light off just long enough to get my car inspected for the state of NC (which does emissions testing too).
